When I worked in Lemon Grove I discovered a barbershop called Lou’s. Three chairs, always filled, a shave and a haircut, $15, with a little shoulder rub to finish it off, while Sinatra or Martin played on the stereo. I’ve always liked a good barbershop.

Cool. Somewhere along the line, I switched from the barbershops I frequented as a child to “beauty salons” that seemed more capable of dealing with the ’70s hairstyles I inflicted on myself as a teen. I’m back to barbershops now after finding a great one, Carsey’s here in Athens. Found it when one of my students did a feature on it for a class assignment … http://courtstreetstories.com/court-streets-historical-gem-carseys-barber-shop/
Good to hear from you, Bob. You’re the first person to comment since I reconfigured the site!
That looks like a great barbershop.
