- Peggy Sue (the more familiar Ed Sullivan performance)
- That’ll Be the Day
- Oh Boy
In the vid of Buddy on Sullivan, watch the drumming of J.I. Allison. He is amazingly relaxed and limber.
What’s most amazing about that video of Buddy doing “Peggy Sue” is that I’ve never seen it before. I have no idea what or where it’s from.

There are a couple of home movies of Buddy. Here’s one from his tour of England. Here’s footage of the UK tour shot by Norman Petty (this looks like it was part of the “Real Buddy Holly Story” documentary).
Gary Busey played Holly in the biopic “The Buddy Holly Story.” Here he is doing “It’s So Easy.”
Of course, one of the great performance of last season’s American Idol was Taylor Hicks singing “Not Fade Away.”
