The house is rented. The movers start packing us up on Monday. Billie and I fly away on Thursday. The cats follow the next day. It’s been a long process, but we’re finally leaving Bakersfield.
I’ve invited a bunch of my Bakersfield buddies to join me for one last beer at the Alley Cat tomorrow (Friday) at 5:30 p.m. If you’re in Bakersfield and would like to join us, feel free (and if I absent-mindedly left you off the invite list (or didn’t have your e-mail address), apologies).
This is totally off topic and probably a completely mental question, but how are you moving your pets? My wife and I were considering a cross-country move a few months back and didn’t know where to begin when it came to moving cats.
Find a company called Animals Away via a Google search.
We checked several companies we found through Google. Came away trusting this one the most (of those that fly the pets — we preferred driving them, but none of those companies were available on our schedule).
Woo-hooo, now you’ll find out the news three hours before anyone on the West Coast. … Congrats.
I lift a virtual glass of wine to your departure and new life.
cheers
