Likely innocent man sent to El Salvador concentration camp

This is among the men Kristi Noem, without proof or legal standing, is calling a terrorist.

Frengel Reyes Mota is a legal asylum seeker with no criminal history. He is a family man with a job. His wife describes him as kind and gentle. He was fully vetted before being allowed into the country.

As required by law, he showed up for his ICE check-in and was arrested and removed to the concentration camp in El Salvador without probable cause.

His attorney and ICE attorneys showed up in court after his arrest for his scheduled asylum hearing, and the ICE paperwork was riddled with errors. They didn’t get his name right. The government claimed he had gang tattoos. His family says he had no tattoos.

This is why Due Process matters. ICE may have confused him with someone else. To guard against mistakes, all defendants should get fair hearings.

As I’ve pointed out already, such behavior by ICE is unconstitutional and goes against God’s commands.

I pray and grieve for these wrongly deported men and their families. It’s so sad.
